2017 Poetry Award Judge
Ashleigh Young’s poetry and essays have been widely published in print and online journals, including The Spinoff, Best New Zealand Poems, Tell You What: Great New Zealand Nonfiction, Five Dials (UK), and The Griffith Review (Australia). She is the author of a collection of personal essays, Can You Tolerate This? (VUP, 2016), and the poetry collection Magnificent Moon (VUP, 2012). She works as an editor for writers who are both established and emerging, such as Hannah Mettner, Hera Lindsay Bird, Nick Ascroft, Airini Beautrais, Kate Camp and Brian Turner.
